The Statue of Honest John Fielden

View Map map

This statue of Honest John Fielden was moved to this location by his sons. It represents him with the Ten Hour Act of which he was part.

Once you've listened to the last track continue your journey.

From the statue you continue on the path which will take you to the park exit, on the main road by the cricket ground. Turning right here it is a 10 minute walk along the main road back into the centre of Todmorden. The other exit from the park to the main road, (at the Sports centre end), takes you past the Fielden Centre, a former school now used as a community space.

We hope you have enjoyed your walking e-Trail, there are many more you could try. Visit our website for a full list of other e-Trails in the collection.

Finally, we really want to know what you thought of this e-Trail, good or bad, so that we can use your feedback for future trails. Visit the Pennine Horizons website http://pennineheritage.org.uk/trails  where you will be able to give us your views.
