Follow the track until you reach a cluster of houses called Hudson Fold. The first dwelling is a fairly derelict house with weaver’s windows, probably built before 1800. The upstairs room would have been used for handloom weaving of woollens, prior to the building of the mills and for handloom weaving of cotton, after the mills were built.
